Ultrasound is an incredibly important part of our diagnostic arsenal. Point-of-care ultrasound (called “POCUS”) provides immediate information about multiple systems, from abdominal organ structure and location to the presence of stones or fluid that isn’t supposed to be there, this technique is invaluable (but remarkably inexpensive).
There are also times when we need a more exact ultrasound, potentially involving biopsies. For these studies, we call in a board-certified radiologist from eImaging to perform these detailed scans.
