We use several machines to analyze blood – bloodwork is frequently at the heart of diagnostic testing and monitoring for our ICU patients. Blood chemistries (kidney levels, liver enzymes, protein levels), complete blood counts (“CBC,” measuring red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets for clotting), and blood gas analyses (electrolytes, acid/base balance, kidney function, blood sugar) are important parts of understanding what is happening inside your pet.

Having these machines in-house means that results take minutes, not days.
